- My name is Tamara Barker and I am a self-taught collage and mixed media artist, photographer, and writer. My latest creative endeavors center around inspirations from a past that never was. I combine vintage images and other favorites from the past with current trends and recycle and repurpose items whenever possible. My father is an accomplished artist, and taught me to appreciate numerous art forms while inspiring a lifetime love for art. My main craft business, Barker’s Herbs and Heirlooms, was founded in January 2006, combining my love of art, vintage images, the Victorian era, and gardening to create a unique craft business.

I can't wait for the butterflies to start showing up, my sunflowers to start blooming, and for the hummingbirds to make an appearance.
Jaz - thanks! It's amazing how a few bulbs planted in the fall can be so beautiful in the spring!
Paula - me too! Last week I was outside and there were a couple of butterflies flitting about. I've never seen them so early before.
